Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 14, 2026

Our Commitment

SimpleFiber Communications LLC is committed to making our website and services accessible to people with disabilities. We believe internet service — and the information about it — should be usable by everyone, regardless of ability.

Conformance Status

SimpleFiber.com targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities including visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor impairments.

We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA, meaning most content meets the guidelines but some areas are still being brought into full compliance. This page will be updated as we improve.

Features We've Implemented

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer)
  • Skip-to-content link available on every page for keyboard users
  • Alternative text on all informational images
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements (keyboard users can see where they are)
  • Support for the operating system's prefers-reduced-motionpreference — animations are minimized if you've requested reduced motion
  • Support for Windows High Contrast Mode (forced-colors)
  • JavaScript-disabled fallback content on every page with emergency contact info
  • Forms use proper labels, error identification, and keyboard navigation
  • Responsive layout works at up to 200% zoom
  • System font stack — no custom web fonts that could impact readability

Known Issues

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility can be improved and are actively working on them:

  • Some color contrast combinations (e.g. red accent text on navy backgrounds) do not yet meet WCAG AA 4.5:1 requirements in all contexts
  • ARIA landmark and role supplementation on complex custom widgets could be more thorough
  • aria-current="page" on active navigation links is not yet implemented

Assistive Technologies We Test With

  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows
  • VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack on Android
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest 2 versions each)

Technical Information

The accessibility of SimpleFiber.com relies on the following:

  • HTML5 semantic markup
  • CSS 3 for presentation
  • JavaScript for enhanced interactivity (progressive enhancement)
  • WAI-ARIA where native HTML semantics are insufficient
